Two young Asian Americans, Emilie and Zach, explore the issues inside the Asian American Pacific Islander community to bring awareness and education of AAPI topics and culture. From discussing topics like food, identity, stereotypes, and questions like “Where are you really from?”, join them as they embark on a journey into Asian America.
Our mission in The SituAsian Room is to create a medium that explores the issues inside the AAPI community and brings awareness and education of AAPI topics and culture to both those inside and outside the AAPI community.
I am a Filipino American based in Marlboro, NJ. At the moment, I am a student at the University of Miami studying Psychology and Communications, and involved in the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue (FIND, Inc.). When I’m not in The SituAsian Room, you can find me on a beach, hunting down a good cup of coffee, or joining friends on foodie adventures.
I’m a third-generation Asian American from Downingtown, Pennsylvania in the Greater Philly area and currently studying business at the University of Miami. In the past I’ve volunteered and worked for organizations and campaigns for Federal, State and Local offices. Alongside exploring Asian America, I love to learn how to cook new things and build DIY projects.
